Agreed. I wish they'd developed that design as opposed to mostly scrapping the CE Mark V lineage and going for their final version, which seems to have now stuck as the "default" Mark IV in all media. For that matter, the third image (without the silly pauldron) actually looks like a better redux of the Mark V than the one in Anniversary.
