In Response To: Re: October 2011 REACH Population Report (DEEP NNN) : I look at Gears of War 3 to support my conjecture. Dropping down the charts : already. I'm betting that game will be lower than REACH by year's end. : Would that mean it will not have been a succesful title? Probably not. Gears already seems to have dropped a lot since release. Still a lot of people playing but the playlist counts are a lot lower than they were. The first DLC not being included in matchmaking and the second being Campaign focused definitely aren't going to help. I'm back to Reach as my main shooter now after taking a break for Gears. I don't think Anniversary is going to greatly increase our numbers though. Not with MW3 coming out the week before, and the avalanche of AAA games coming out within a week of it. Plus, a large portion of the the Halo players on my friends list are playing a lot of Battlefield. If anything, I think we'll get a spike from people coming into Anniversary expecting perfect Halo 1 MP, then go back closer to normal once they're disappointed with it being tweaked Reach.
