In Response To: September 2011 REACH Population Report (DEEP NNN) Reach is just going to get lower through the rest of the year, and I don't see it jumping back up in popularity if no maps are happening between 11/15 and Halo 4. Battlefield 3 and CoD are going to take more of the "must play all shooters" crowd, plus Gears having new maps every couple of months. Anniversary's maps might help a bit but Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Saint's Row, Sonic Generations, Metal Gear HD, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom all come out within 2 weeks before or after it. Not to mention Gears has November DLC planned and I'm sure MW3 will have something that month with that Elite thing. The general Live population is going to be all over the place through the holiday. At the very least 343 should make sure the Anniversary maps are DLC pretty close to release instead of the ODST/Mythic situation. I can't imagine Mythic 2 sold very well so late in the game. As cool as the new maps look, it's going to suck going a full year with no new maps. Though Forge support could take care of most of that feeling I suppose. Wonder what the ETA on Destiny is. Late 2013 to early 2014 maybe. Three year full studio development time seems to be the standard.
