In Response To: Re: My questions, at least. (NOKYARD)

: This is something which has always interested me and i have two related
: questions.

: 1) Would it be possible to make changes to existing team variants, like Team
: Slayer or Neutral Assault, where extra players on Orange or Green teams
: could control an invisible/invincible/no waypoint Monitor and participate
: in games as an observer or cameraman? I am sure MLG and other live
: broadcasters would love something like this.

>Control monitors? yes.
>Invisible? Maybe - if the active camo player traits work on monitors. They'd still be able to push objects around and block bullets, though.
>Invincible? Yes.

Changing what object a player is controlling is probably fraught with bugs. That functionality was built for Chess and hasn't been tested in any other gametypes.

: 2) Would it be possible to lock round based games like Neutral Assault so
: only the Red and Blue teams actually play? The Grifball admins suggested 4
: team NA for Reach (and were surprised when it actually shipped with the
: game) as a method of doing the above (Green team cameraman), but the
: cameraman ended up playing against the Blue team in round 2, while the red
: team was unable to spawn.

Megalo has control over how many teams are available to play on, but does not control how they cycle through the roles in the game on each round.
