In Response To: The Genealogy of Halo Maps, Pt. 1 (FyreWulff) Thank you. I love this sort of Old vs New stuff - and of course this one is very topical, with Anniversary edging so very close. And it always blows my mind when I see how much thought has to go into multiplayer maps and, in this case, how they can evolve over time with new technology and in new engines, etc. Ain't as simple as putting some guns in a room with a few slabs for cover, that's for sure. And there's something very special about the maps in Halo. More than any other game I know, I feel they have a personality and a history and purpose, even if it's just hinted at, like in Hang em High (Halo 1 version), or if it's overt and grandiose as with Tempest (which is still eerily mysterious in that awesome Forerunner way) or Anchor 9 and its beautiful space setting.* Anyway, gushing aside - excellent work! I was wondering if we can expect these articles to appear on fyrewulff dot com in the future? * Sometimes I forget people are trying to kill me as I admit this virtual handiwork. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
