In Response To: The future of Halo ... game titles? (nillapuddin) It may sound cheesy, but it's one of the most effective ways to communicate to the mass consumers that there is a *new* and *big* Halo title on the way. They could possibly go Valve's route and have Halo 5 be "Halo 4: Episode 1" or something along those lines to let consumers know that it's following the story arc introduced in Halo 4. Another strategy is to follow Call of Duty where they go to 4, then reset back to 1, but witha subtitle that'll stick (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare --> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 --> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3).
