My dad did a painting with a similar color scheme once when I was a kid, and I absolutely loved it. And I'm combining that color scheme with the sort of style that Sparth uses in his Forerunner illustrations (although I'm nowhere near his level). And to achieve your vision, you must study and practice. Also, having Photoshop and a tablet helps ;)
