In Response To: Youtube link because IGN UK figured it out. (The Mean) Wow, my first thought when I opened the video was "Whoah, it's Headlong." And I've never been able to say that sort of thing about any other remake of a map. Not that any map remake is bad - not at all. But this is the first time I think they NAILED the feeling of the original map. It might entirely be the art direction, but, damn, does it look like Headlong. Something I'd always been kind of regretful about is how Halo 2 to Reach never captured the same ineffible visual feel of CE. I always thought it had something to do with the color palette and the smoothness or simplicity of the geometry/materials that both got lost between the upgrade in visuals between CE and Halo 2. But, man, it looks like they managed to pull it off here. It's not CE, but, still. I'm surprised how much it LOOKS like Headlong while aat the very same time looking noticeably better (LOVE seeing the Super on that billboard. I was making posts a while ago about how 343 now has the option to redo the visuals given the context that all the other games have set up, and this is a really cool example of that). I am WAY impressed by this.
