I don't really think they can be compared.
The Hyabusa armour was a fully usable armour permutation in Halo 3 multiplayer.
Nicole-458 was also a fully developed playable character in DoA4, with a unique and comprehensive move set.

By making the Warthog in Forza 4 exclusive to autovista mode, its more like a case of "look, but don't touch".
Literally.

I don't want to come across as especially negative, I seem to have one of the more positive outlooks on gaming if my Twitter feed is anything to go by, but we're basically talking about putting a car in a driving game, giving it an incredible amount of detail, love and attention, then saying you can't drive it.
A lot of us 'knew' (heavily suspected) the Warthog was going to be in Forza 4. We'd seen the logo appear in one of the earlier trailers.

Seeing it confirmed, but not drivable, well, its just very bitter sweet for Forza fans like myself.
