Point. Their pacing is such that they feel longer than they really are, and in order to appreciate them you actually have to pay attention. They aren't like Serenity where I'll pop that on while I'm reading a book and still love the crap out of it. Kurosawa's films especially are like that, to the point where I know quite a few people who can't actually sit through Seven Samurai.

Still, now I'm getting a HUGE hankering to watch them. I might still toss them in one at a time and stop whenever I feel it's most appropriate.
