In Response To: for the sake of references... (Bry) There's one thing I've never understood about their armor. Why is the chest piece open in the front? Humans typically use the heaviest armor (flak jackets, bullet proof vests, steel plates, ect.) in that area because that is where the vital organs are. The elites on the other hand leave their chest, abdomen, groin, and backside wide open except for their energy shield. I've noticed in Reach that they've closed up these areas. I wonder if there is a psychological reason for doing that, or if they are so much different biologically that they don't need armor there.
