Unlike some people (not naming names), I don't think Rooster : Teeth likes changing their characters' armors up just 'cause it looks : cooler. Plus color is the only way to really identify characters in Red : vs. Blue. ANY one trying to have a strategic advantage would want to be better camouflaged(Freelancers, Spartans, Army, Airsoft players). You can still have the same "Identifying" colors and not make them so crazy bright, they weren't that bright back then. As far as I can tell they did change it for the more saturated look.
