But I like my : assumptions.) I'm not sold that it's a Dyson Sphere for several reasons. First, we've seen monumental Forerunner structures on planets before, and I think that the object in the trailer is more like the Ark Portal than anything else we've seen before. Second, the structure in Halo Wars was NOT a Dyson Sphere. A Dyson Sphere, specifically the one at Onyx, encompasses an entire start to a radius of one astronomical unit. The Onyx Sphere fits this description. The artifact in Halo Wars was an artificial planet. Third, the planetoid toward which Forward Unto Dawn is drifting is quite small; you can see its curvature when the damaged frigate is quite close to it.
