What did strike me as odd is if the armor he's shown wearing in this trailer is supposed to be a different (new?) set of armor from his H3 set, why does it already have wear and tear? Particularly a nasty gash across the chest plate?

Is it something that happens in game?

Perhaps the armor was previously used?

Or is it just a radically different artistic representation of his H3 armor?

Then again, Chief got brand spanking new armor in H2 and it was scuffed up from the get go. So maybe it is just a new suit of armor with inexplicable damage as well.
