In Response To: Halo, Call of Duty & the Male Brain (Nosolee) : Interesting article posted over at IGN about dudes' evolutionary attraction : to first person shooters. Halo gets a mention toward the bottom. Take a : look! Any article postulating notable biological differences between the male and female brains, especially invoking one of the evolutionary just-so stories that have rendered the once-promising field of evopsych a joke, is pretty much guaranteed to be of low quality. Nearly every popularly accepted belief about absolute gender differences in neurobiology is incorrect, whether it's the idea that female brains are more interconnected or the idea that women are better multitaskers.
