In Response To: Re: DXOP4-G1 (NsU Soldier) : The 4th generation of Spartans, sir. Actually, let me amend that. Orion I - Spec Op Group of volunteers utilizing limited augmentations. Orion II - The first Spartans. Recruits were conscripted at a young age. Recruits were chosen because of their unique genes and behaviors. They utilized extensive augmentations and Project Mjolnir. This group is also known as Spartan IIs. Orion III - The second batch of Spartans. The gene pool restrictions were relaxed a bit, to provide more troops. Like the former group but with more experimental augmentations. Project Mjolnir was only utilized by a few select Spartan IIIs. Most were killed during various high-risk engagements with the Covenant. -The next few are only assumptions based off of these recent posts and should not be considered canon until they are verified.- Orion IV - Unknown. If they used similar naming conventions to the Orion III recruits, we know there were at least 6 companies of Orion IVs. (F484 was a recruit. Foxtrot is the 6th letter of the alphabet.) It is unknown if they utilized Mjolnir, but augmentations were used. Orion V - Unknown. Orion VI - Unknown. Probably much like Orion IV, but we know according to recent info, that this class is comprised entirely out of volunteer Spec Op specialists. Much like the ODSTs.
