This wasn't a freestanding portal that cut off when it's source : (the Ark in the Chief's case) was disabled. This was a drive of the wrong : size, origin, and heck species that was brought into the hanger of a ship. : Not engineering or anywhere like that. The hanger. I refuse to believe : that it would magically work well enough to transport anything intact. Oh : and don't forget it was rigged to destroy a larger ship, not to helpfully : transport it somewhere. Did it perhaps suck the itty bitty pieces of : Jeorge and his captured Corvette into slipspace? Sure. But thats all. : Besides it sorta ruins his death scene and the feeling the rest of Nobel : has when they learn of his fate. Not necessarily... Noble still believes him dead similar the way the UNSC thinks Master Chief is dead. His heroics remain, but his own self now is a mystery left to be solved (or never solved). How did you feel when you thought MC was dead during the Memorial on Earth with Hood and Arbiter? How did you feel after seeing he was alive floating off somewhere in space. It's the same, it's just up to the people who manage Halo to expand it or leave it be. | |
