: Those people were listed as dead both on the half that still exists and the
: one gone to "oblivion", the reasoning for justifying the second
: half would be because there is no way these people could have survived an
: open atmosphere into space.
: But doesn't this same thing happen with the Chief/Cortana on the Forward Unto
: Dawn in Halo 3?
: They all think he's dead on Earth because he never made it back. But he's
: still alive even though the back end of the ship is open into space,
: because he has the MJOLNIR suit on.
: --Conjectural Evidence--
: The Slipspace Rupture that took out the Supercarrier did not look like any
: explosion, if anything it looked just like the Slipspace portal from Halo
: 3: ODST that the Prophet jumped out off to Delta Halo in Halo 2.
: The key to him actually surviving would be if he bothered to pick up and put
: his helmet on before activating the Savannah's Slipspace Drive. Otherwise
: the radiation would have killed him in an instant.
