I love him too. Some of his body actions were so natural and funny, like the way he sort of raised his arms to Dutch when the Covenant started glassing New Mombassa, like "can we go already?!", or how he skims the detonator across the water. Oh, and especially his awkward glance at Vergil while Buck and Dare were... saying hello.
He didn't say anything, but he still felt much more human than a lot of Halo's characters.
