In Response To: Re: FYI (Archilen) : Exactly. This is the problem with these marketing vids. People who have no : idea of what Halo is won't understand a thing. They should actually be : more about the game itself, or explain the story in a broader scope. Or : better yet, actually show gameplay. Thats what YOU want to see, thats what YOU'RE interested in, or what you think other people are interested in. If you know nothing about the story, saying 'oh, you're noble team and you've got to go kick some alien butt of these covenant dudes that are fighting us because they believe we are an afront to their gods and reach is our big naval ship yard and its super important....' NO! Too much. They seem to be trying to sell the location and the story premise with these, selling that idea. Make it relatable to a persons' daily lives; people going to work, on the job, at home, a pregnant wife, but then the hint is that its all gone. Selling 'MACHO GUY SHOOT STUFF NAO!' gameplay videos is a tough sell to people who aren't interested already. A: there is already plenty of gameply footage, and b: they're trying to hook people in from a different angle. Maybe you don't think that that works, or is the best way to present the game, I guess we'll see. I mean, how much basic training and funerals and drop sequences did you go through in ODST? (referencing 'We are ODST' trailer) Neither of the former, and only one of the latter.
