In Response To: Re: New live action trailer 2 (ManKitten) : Everyone involved should be fired. I agree that Reach's marketing so far hasn't been particularly flashy - at least these new two videos. From what we've seen, it seems they're working on an extremely limited budget. Also, it seems they're focusing too much on some of the more obscure aspects of the game only the more hardcore fans will pick up on - and those people who will buy the game anyways. For example, someone who hasn't heard of the game before can't really understand most of the stuff that's going on in these things and their point will be completely lost on them. Then again, I've never been particularly interested with marketing campaigns since they tend to focus on one aspect of the game only and fail to actually give an idea of what the game's like. For instance, if someone unfamiliar with Halo sees this or the previous trailer, they'll have absolutely no clue what the game's all about. Insurgents are mentioned, so someone may think it's another "modern combat" shooter or something since there's not even a mention of aliens or for that matter, the fact they're on another planet. I think the marketing should actually explain some of the backstory, and what's going on, on a larger scale.
