I'm actually already doing : a storyboard version of Headhunters for my Film class project, and it's : fun as hell :] Final submission must be either black and white line art or halftone artwork. You can create the original in color and convert it to halftone if you'd like. See the "ICON" image on page 343 of Evolutions as an example of a color image converted for use in the book's interior -- the original color version was used as the book's cover. There are any number of ways to go about the creative process, just be sure that your final submission follows the guideline set forth in the contest's official rules. DPI is "dots per inch" and is related to the image's print resolution. Pica are a standard unit of measurement in printing. The measurement in inches listed next to the picas (3-1/2"x 6") in the official rules will also work for maximum image size. You can create the artwork larger, as long as the final submission doesn't exceed the size listed in the rules. You'll just have to be careful to work at an appropriate aspect ratio and make sure to re-size when saving your final version. Halftone refers to the utilization of shading within the context of a piece of artwork, as opposed to simple black and white line art.
