In Response To: Motion Comic Makings-of, and 343's uphill climb... (GrimBrother One) : Thoughts are certainly welcome, sorry for the ramble... : Grim Hey, you're not alone in wondering about this stuff. It even makes me wonder about this site. Is it Halo, is it Bungie or is it both? It's Louis Wu's call. I wonder which way he will go? I have no strong ties to this site but recently it has provided me a decent place to discuss Halo without seeing the constant weapons discussions. I am thoroughly prepared for 343i to give me my Halo fix after REACH. They are in such a strange place right now. Overseers of everything Halo, yet not the creators of the games that got us to this point. The products they have given and sold thus far are interesting to me. Maybe they can inherit my soul if their product range moves into game creation.
Now Bungie on the other hand is directly responsible for my Halo enthusiasm. It's their Halo games and the associated theme that I am interested in. It's not the written fiction because I have yet to read a Halo novel. Oh noes, sacrilege! I have a like/dislike relationship with Bungie but I love playing Halo. I've written I am a Halo fan, not a Bungie fan. Would that upset them? To know that the drug I thrive on came from them but I'd dump them in a second to get it from a third party? Bah, it's the entertainment business! Surely they are wise enough to understand that and what FAN(atics) are all about. What is this dislike for Bungie you ask? I'm a Fan. I want and they do not always provide. I have needs. I want free stuff. I want a humpday with my old peeps. I want recognition. I want more Halo games. I want more maps. I want serialized campaign. I want my freaking Stonehenge (version six) in full time match making. ;)
