hmm. maybe it was too complicated to tell the difference between elites, grunts, brutes, etc. so they just made a simple AI that recognised the hand of whoever throws it.

also, if the grenade sticks to vehicles, shouldn't they stick to the pillar of autumn, phantoms, pelicans, forward unto dawn etc.
