: Anyway, those are my thoughts, cheers! My thoughts were along those lines too.. they matched them up, and then while "improving" encounters, they made altrerations to make them more enjoyable. Plus they worked hard on immersion in the nighttime scenes. So as the two versions are no longer sharing the same file, you can't match them up anymore because both versions were changed. Until seeing these images, I thought perhaps they WERE the same level but with some kinda' "daytime/nighttime" flag in the code to tell the game engine how to display it. I guess that makes sense to use speparate levels considering that the maps would've been huge if they still stored all of the information for both, and it would've created slowdown if they had to remotely access the stuff "as needed." Might have been interesting to have the same 3d wireframe with a night texture set and day texture set though. With "bodies/debris" added as generated from when you completed that day level. That would allow you to revisit an area at night and say, "look! that's where I stuck that grunt and it threw him onto the edge of the roof! uhh.. ignore all my bodies laying here.. this was a hard level.. :)"
