Did you just do it by eye, trying to stand in the : same place? I'm not sure that could've been it, as viewpoints match so : closely. Omega was right--I used the pan-cam coordinates, since they match up between the day and night missions. Because you can adjust the movements speed of the camera in pan-cam, I was able to get a perfect match on the x, y, and z axis by slowing the theater camera down so much that I could fine tune my position easily. Matching up perspective was much harder since that trick doesn't work for what direction you're looking. I wasn't able to get an exact match (like you can see on the last screenshot). I also found out that cutscenes use different levels of zoom, so I wasn't able to get a match for them despite putting the camera in the correct location. It would require planning ahead, but it might have been worth it for me to try to get some first-person screenshots, since then I could have the VISR on and see better. But, alas.. I think I've had my fun with this idea.
