The beta was on a very large, open-to-the-public scale. Nearly every fan had a chance to get in on it. When Bungie does exclusive previews, I've seen it done to magazines, which in turn share the info with the fans. When Bungie revealed Assembly, it was again in a very public way so that the fans got to see it.

I'm trying to show a pattern.

Now how does it make sense for a select group of people to be invited over to Bungie HQ to play some games on the new maps, and then keep it hush-hush? Maybe if these people were allowed to share their impressions of the maps with the fans, but I haven't seen that happen yet.

I'm just saying, it doesn't sound like a very nice thing to do when "the rest of us" are all sitting here waiting to find out more. But who knows, maybe Louis Wu actually did fly across the country to do a little Slayer..
