In Response To: Halo one of "The Best Fictional Doomsday Devices" (LostRock11)

: Wired.com wrote the list.

: "The titular ring-shaped world of the Halo videogame series is more than
: an architectural feat. When activated, the megastructure is capable of
: destroying all sentient life in the universe. In Halo 2, puzzled gamers
: discovered that stopping this harbinger of the apocalypse was as simple as
: turning it off."

: Seems like a bit of a clumsy description. Curiously enough, the picture they
: feature is from one of the early Halo builds.

I could see back in Star Trek's time in the 60's that galaxy and universe were interchanged, but nowadays....not as easy to forgive. Big distinction there.
