As for the banshee flips, I don't typically use them, aside from trying to dodge a laser shot or something else that's coming head-on and about to hit me. [Missiles, stickies, a player.] For newer banshee players, I'd recommend ignoring the flips until you're more comfortable with how the banshee flies.
