First of all, this should have been posted as a new thread. It doesn't have anything to do with the Halo book. Anyway (see that masterful segue?), to arms.

: 1.) What are the modes? I've only heard of Deathmatch, team deathmatch,
: capture the flag and Ogre. Are there any more that you know of? Are any of

Some examples are Kill the Man with the Ball, some (so we've heard) racing games, many styles of deathmatch, many varieties of CTF, and any number of even weirder ones. Getting more details is like pulling hen's teeth.

: 2) What are the possible vehicle configurations? What vehicles are there in
: multiplayer? All? None? Could you have, say, two planes/two tanks going on
: at the same time in one game?

The configurations will either be based on the map, or configurable by the user. I'm sure that any number of various scenarios is possible, including the ones you mentioned.

: 3) How many maps? Are they all outdoor? Does capture the flag have large
: bases ala 2fort in Team Fortress Classic?

How many? What, you want a number? Plenty. Indoor AND outdoor, most likely. And bases for CTF are a good guess, but not something to be sure of for EVERY map.

A section about multiplayer? What, about the news? That's like news about, uh, the Xbox's hard-drive or something. It'll just be posted to the news page, same as anything else.
