Thats not true. The only difference between the xbox gpu and the GeForce3 is that the xbox has an extra vertex shader. There isnt any feature that one chip supports in hardware that the either doesnt. And with the forthcoming (weeks) GeForce 3 'ultra', or GeForce 500 Titanium as nvidia as calling it, even that distinction is gone. Fact of the matter is if Bungie were to just do a straight port to the PC and only worry about supporting a GeForce 3, then Halo on the PC would be as nice or nicer than Halo on the box. The nastiness on the PC side comes from (as someone alluded too earlier) trying to support all the OTHER cards 3d chips out there.
