(Funny I went to that page yesterday, but the pic wasn't there) On one hand it's a dream come true, everything merged together, video on demand, music on demand, games on demand eventually AND windows. (I wouldn't mind paying a small fee to download music, or better, buy music digitally, so that I won't have to 'download' it, but rather, it being played/streamed from the server itself). On the other hand, if this thing will become a fact I sense a total overhaul, seeing things in a different perspective. M$ will most likely dominate in many ways, consume yet more companies. Now, what's REALLY scary is, CAN I CONNECT A MOUSE AND KEYBOARD TO IT? Ok, ofcourse it can, they just made a mistake with their xbox. Does it requires M$'s password identification. Howmuch M$ will ask for whatever you do on internet (paying $$$ for using an application, ms word, excell?). The thing will not be hack proof, and I don't think anyone wants to secure private information on it (One of the reasons I think the PC will remain) Not sure when the thing becomes a science-fact, but I hope some things inside it are a generation ahead of the xbox (but backwards compatible), and support upcoming technologies, and connectors (FMD-discs, RAM-drives, USB 2.0, and whatever is in the works) I wonder what Sony's next move will be (I sense a lot of other companies merging together to compete with M$) Scary, yes, but interesting. | |
