the sniper debate, me brings it back...

Really nice shots.

A while ago there was a debate wheather or not this: http://xboxmedia.ign.com/media/previews/image/halo/halomag4.jpg was the sniper rifle or not, I followed it with quite some interest, but without taking part. But seeing this shot with greater quality I have made up my mind. It is the sniper rifle.

My support for this is:

1. The lenght, the visible part of the rifle is about 2/3rds of the cyborgs total height, and there is more below the image. I can't imagine any other rifle being so long.

2. The stand, the inverted V at the bottom of the pic suggests that you can use some sort of support while shooting to get greater accuracy.

(theory, nothing proven, but...) 3. the "box" on the rifle might be built by the princip some binoculars are, with many lenses and prismas. I t might also have room for electronics to display alti-meter and distance.
