In Response To: I just saw Halo being demonstrated on CNN (TCB) : I was watching CNN and they did a thing about the XBox at E3, they showed : Halo on the monitors being played by that big Marine maniquin thing and : then showed a whole thing on the pre-E3 press conference. It showed that : one guy in glasses that was actuall playing it demonstrating and it had a : few jerky slowdowns (I wonder if that was on purpose?), but it had a LOT : of really stunning gameplay on CNN. I thought that was pretty cool though. : I'm sure the slowdown will be fixed by launch, but there's always skeptics : that won't let that stuff go. I was talking with Dan (project director of Phoenix) today at E3, and I asked him about the slow framerate at certain points. He told me that, first of all, the kits being used at E3 to allow us to play Halo are about 40-50% the power of the actual XBox for launch (and that the actual Nvidia chips aren't in these kits, they were using TNT's, I think...). Second, expect Halo to be extremely polished up by launch. "We haven't seen anything yet" was his parting words... OT - glimpses of Phoenix were present on the big screens at E3...
