I was watching CNN and they did a thing about the XBox at E3, they showed Halo on the monitors being played by that big Marine maniquin thing and then showed a whole thing on the pre-E3 press conference. It showed that one guy in glasses that was actuall playing it demonstrating and it had a few jerky slowdowns (I wonder if that was on purpose?), but it had a LOT of really stunning gameplay on CNN. I thought that was pretty cool though.
I'm sure the slowdown will be fixed by launch, but there's always skeptics that won't let that stuff go.
