Practice Practice! im exactly the same, in custom games and social i use the sniper but in ranked i dont touch it - if your not confident with it theres no point in trying to use it - in halo 1 pc though i rely on it ironic i chose the name sharpsniper99 but suck with the thing :P i know a guy who's a 48 who uses close combat teqniques and doesnt use the br much - he has all the jumps and all that perfected though and you usually dont see him coming - in lone wolves aswell dieing doesnt matter as much as long as you get kills i find the thing with lone wolves aswell is theres a big element of luck involved if you dropped down theres no reason u arnet good enough to be higher - so good luck :P
