In Response To: Halo 2 HD (WIP) (Jean-Luc) : Hello everyone, haven't posted here in quite some time. I figured I'd come : back with a bang and announce a project I am working on. Most of you : remember when Bungie announced that they were "re-doing" the : cutscenes in HD with more detail. Well, while they did indeed do so, I : imagine that it wasn't exactly what everyone was expecting (no offense : Bungie). I had a vision in mind of seeing the cutscenes from Halo 1-3 in : 720p HD with completely revamped graphics, sound, and animations. While I : cannot promise better sound, I have every intent to recreate the cutscenes : (as many as possible) in HD with completely redone graphics and : animations. This is, of course, non-profit. Release date is completely : uncertain, due to a constantly changing schedule and just the volume of : work that goes into each specific scene. However, not to leave you all : hanging, I do have a couple of images to leave you with to show you an : "approximation of quality," shall we call it. Here we have : displayed the (from Halo 2) Masterchief, Jackal, and Elite. : Enjoy, and I will do my best to keep everyone apprised of the progress:
: Please note that both characters are subject to change, but are 99% complete. So wait, what happened to the cutscenes from Halo 2 PC that I re recorded in 720p HD? What's the difference here? Are you just extracting models from the games and reanimating them to redo the cutscenes?
