(Red_Breast) : Just been reading on 1UP a rumour in this month's EGM. : Bungie might be working on a Halo game that may or may not be the Peter : Jackson game but WETA are involved. : http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3167568 The description of "when it occurs" is a dead match for Halo Wars. Do you think they're widening this story out at that point, or is it possbile that the rumors flying are based on crossed tidbits of information about existing stuff? There's the Bungie/Jackson collaboration for Chronicles "at some point in the future", and the Jackson/Microsoft collaboration which is also said to be Chronicles, which has Microsoft hiring staff for it currently. "Chronicles" from what I recall is official data, is supposed to feature Episodic content, and the suggestions flying about other companies also working on this project, suggests that there are several episodes being worked on at the same time. However.. please note that Bungie's current project seems to be based on the NEXT generation console.. not this one. This suggests another run of Xbox hardware, considering that M$ still owns Halo and isn't likely to allow it to go to other platforms without a significant fight... have we heard anything about when that next gen is going to be? Is "Gears Of War 2" truly going to be in the last year of official 360 generation Microsoft games that it's been rumored to be. They stated it'll be THIS gen, but one of the last for this gen.
