In Response To: Addtional Leverage (DHalo) : Threshold is cataloged in the UNSC planet database, and I'm pretty sure Basis : was cataloged too. Chances are they saw Halo, too. Also, if the Key of : Osanalan is really an important object (quite possibly the Keyship), : Ackerson and plenty of other high ups know about a lot more than they let : on. For instance, we've seen inside of ONI's inner workings through the : Eye of Odin in Ghosts of Onyx. Area 67? Trust me, ONI has a lot more : Forerunner tech and insight than we think. True, but since it seems rather obvious that there will be a Halo involved, I have to say that I am disappointed. What is the point of going to a Halo if the threat of the Flood and a rush for activation doesn't appear until 20 years later with the current storyline? This is just getting stupid; is every non-Halo Trilogy game that may or may not appear after this going to have a Halo shoved into it just because the trilogy did? We already know what the rings do, what they're for, who built them and why, and the plan they're part of. So what is there left to learn about the Halos if the trilogy already answered those questions? So why? How hard is it to make a game or something like that in the Halo universe without having a damn ring shoved into it just because it has Halo in the name? Besides, there are only seven rings, the Ark, and Onyx, which in one way or another we've already seen, so why go to another ring? The biggest problem I see is that if there is a Halo involved, then isn't it just a rehash of the whole "we have to stop the Covenant from activating the Halos" rush that was the main conflict in Halo 2 and 3? That would mean that there would be a rush to start the Great Journey with a Halo ring twice in a row by the Covenant. Given that we've seen so much from the Covenant side, why has there never been a mention of there being a failed attempt to start the Great Journey/Halo activation prior to Halo 2?
