Presumably, : it takes place right after the events of Halo 2, ca. late October/early : November. Of course, we're not sure how long the siege of Earth is or when : Truth's ship finally landed on Earth. Truth drops out of slipspace near : Earth, but Uprising (is the comic canon?) depicts the keyship near : Jupiter, so apparently Truth backs off from Earth for some reason. I'm : guessing that Halo 3 starts no later than a week or two after the events : at the end of Halo 2, as early 2553 seems like it'd be way too long of a : time difference. : Thoughts or opinions? Truth's ship hung back about two weeks while the Fleet cleared out Earth's defenses and opened up the Ark to my knowledge. Then with all the slipspace jumps, the war finally ended in 2553 with the Arbiter's return.
