If I move slightly out of frame of : it the lighting for the entire screenshot was changed; the black levels : returned back to a 90+% black and the colors were slightly duller. When in : the HDR the blacks were around 65-70% and the colors were more rich and : vibrant. Looks f'n great while playing the level, but it's a nightmare for : digital artists lol. Your terminology is a little off. The everything is lit by HDR lighting. That's the reason you get the change. HDR allows the in-game camera to change it's f-stop, letting in more or less light. From what I understand, it's always trying to balance out what you see. If you're looking in a dark corner, it's going to adjust so you can see it, and if you're looking at bright light, it'll adjust so there's less bloom. Thing's dont "give off" the HDR lighting. The reason the shields look so bright is because the camera is adjusting and opening it's f-stop so you can see the darker rock areas, but that makes the sky brighter in that section.
