Halo is more well-known than Xbox Live. The point of an article like this is to hit home with people and strike them with something they're at least remotely familiar with. It's supposed to evoke the "Halo?! My son Jimmy plays that computing game! Egads!" response.

Nothing particularly wrong with it. Just journalism.
