I mean, in H3 every shot already has to be a HS in order for the
: BR to get the 4 hit kill, and in my experience, if someone manages to
: 4shot me, they deserved the kill and I deserved to die.

Actually, headshots do not register until shields are down, that is a fundamental mechanic of every halo game. 3 shots to the body + 1 to the head is the same as 4 to the head.

I think the players you are playing with are quite likely not as skilled as you will see in a highly competitive environment, like MLG. 4shots are in fact quite common, the aim is among the best you will ever see in the game, so allowing people to move faster makes it harder to aim, and lessens the effects of the magnetism and auto-aim in the game. it also increases the overall speed of the game, helping to prevent the lame camping tactics you see in matchmaking.

i think the fundamental difference you see in these gametypes, is that the better team wins, not the ones that get better access to a weapons and just hold a section of the map.

i am not sure the exact reason for the sword removed, i sincerely doubt its because it is overpowered, more likely due to the inconsistency, its lunging properties. i personally think it is underpowered, but just because something is out of these gametypes doesn't mean it will make it back in v3 and beyond. i personally would like to see some more power weapons, and equipments.

keep in mind the gametypes are always a work in progress, and i think a great deal of progress has been made from v1 to v2, and we will see similar results with v3. these were based on some pretty rigorous testing with a lot of the community. we all know there will be major improvements, but this is a great wave 2, and already the game is starting to look up.
