In Response To: Re: Question about the ending *SP* (tsuranuku) I was thinking the same thing upon initially finishing the campaign, but I think I like it better this way. There are a number of things that I really figured were going to happen to the Chief. 1) They might show his face at the end.
None of these three things happened, but I totally wasn't disappointed in the least. At first I was like "eeeehhhhh" and the more I thought about it, the more perfect the whole ending became. We lost characters near and dear to us (in Johnson, Keys, um Truth and 343), which at least in me created this kind of foreshadowing of the Chief's demise. Keep in mind- I was CONVINCED they would kill him off. When he didn't end up dying, I was actually really relieved. Then the cutscene with Lord Hood and Arbies totally made me think he was dead, and I accidentally skipped the credits. I had to go back and beat the warthog run (which I totally didn't mind. I enjoyed even more than the first) to see the ending.
