the grunts sounded deeper to me, too. they still said hysterical things like in the other halo games, but i think they were said a bit too seriously, and without as much of a high pitched nasal voice that we are used to. i wonder if it's still Joe Staten doing the voice for them.

...but it sounds ok as is...
