Boris (the Duth guy) did sound really convinced though...there was no hesitation or nuance when he talked about the coop mode... For what a Dutchman's word is worth, it is confirmed. Translated: (...what is about to happen to the Master Chief. We are all about to see. Before I went on this trip I was rather more a Gears of War lover than a Halo lover but that might change..because the third part (of Halo) looked really awesome and a few things that were terribly missed in Halo 2 have been fixed/maked up. That includes for example...really easy.. a coopmode. This has been confirmed, a coop for the singleplayer. Probably for more than 2 players because when I critically asked they said "2 player coop, yeash you csannot do that." So much for GoW because we have now Halo 3 and you might play with 4 people coop!"

One little thing I noticed, he did not said literally coop on live, yet he said it was something we missed in Halo 2: coop. So, that does imply with 99% certainty that there will be coop.

These Gamekings people can be trusted, they are also responsible for the biggest game magazine in the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg) Power Unlimited)... I cannot imagine he would be this enthusiastic about an offline coopmode.

Then again, as you all said, we will have to wait for word from Bungie instead of from an Elite TAR, which makes this info translated by another forumman from a Dutch TV show guy who says he has it from Bungie.

At least you guys now know what he is saying in the end.
