In Response To: Halo 3 release date clue? (Stuntmutt) I think it's a bad move on Bungie's part. The Actionclix stuff is basically wargames for kids, it's kinda like the difference between Magic: The Gathering, and Pokemon. If Bungie wanted to get into wargames, they should have partnered with Games Workshop, not Wizkids. Why? Because with Games Workshop, I can at least expect a decent ruleset, and most importantly, some really, really detailed miniatures. Wizkids... not so much. For a comparison on miniature details, here are some figures from Wizkids' Heroclix: And Games Workshop's Warhammer 40k: Warhammer 40k 1
The major difference between the miniatures, is that Games Workshops' stuff needs to be assembled and painted by you. Most people actually prefer this, as you can mix and match different parts and paint your own colour schemes. Whereas with Wizkids, the miniatures come pre-painted and pre-assembled. Which also gives them a sort of "Factory Made" look.
