If I understand what you're trying to say: "Why would the gauntlet look like the Halo 2 model if the Master Chief would presumably be a high priority on Bungie's list, so therefore it and the new gauntlet have some significance in Halo 3.", well that's because it was explained that that screenshot is months old (from around august), it was taken months before it was released. He also said that that model was just a place holder for the Halo 3 FP model.
