I'm an animator, too....and, let's face it, static models flying through space isn't exactly claymation (limit to spline, anyone?). speaking of which, that turn-on-a-dime that the scarab's pull off at 0:15 (or what appears to be one, if your camera target was linked to them) woulda generated enough g-forces to splatter the pilot(s). that's not to say this isn't impressive; I just think you're avoiding the question of the original models. I'm most impressed with your shaders....those are just superb. Harvest particularly caught my eye (did you animate that shader, or was that just the codec?), as well as the reflections (who isn't impressed by reflections?). I do agree larger pans were needed; we see each ship for like five seconds, hardly enough time to take it all in. overall, well done. but... I'd like to know just how much of this is Bungie's work... | |
