I have to agree. There are several parts where I as a viewer got disoriented, because the only reference I had was the Seraphs, and they're not exactly stationary. If you still want the camera to do some cool stunts, one thing I might suggest is to have it stay mostly steady on the fighters as they fly by the capital ships. Then set it up so that it would intersect one of those ships as it tries to keep on the seraphs, which gives you a nice excuse to make the camera go flying to one side- it's trying not to hit the cruiser! As a bonus, you've then suggested that the camera is actually a third ship following the first two, which gives even more of a sense of context.
